I am only one fat man and I couldn’t have won on my own. While I did a lot of the leg work to get my portfolio together for the lawyer, without him and his advice I would probably still be fighting to get my case heard. The sheer intimidation a lawyer brings to the table is by far outweighs their cost. Not only that, but if you have done your homework and provided all of the documentation you possibly can you can basically sit back and let the lawyer deal with all the BS that is bound to start happening. You will want to look for a lawyer who works on a contingency basis and will not charge you attorney’s fees. You should also not have to pay up front for legal representation. If you lose you will probably have to pay the fee to file the complain in court, any subpoenas’ that were served on your case, the costs of any specialist that may have to be brought to the stand on your behalf, a vehicle inspection, court costs, or any transcription fees for the court transcriber if they needed to be present to document something. You will never have to pay attorney’s fees should you lose or Toyota’s fees. When looking for a lawyer to handle my case I basically went to Google. Since my family isn’t litigate happy I have never even been around a lawyer, so this was a brand new experience for me. I choose my law firm because they specialized in Lemon Law cases in the state of Arizona. They also gave me a free case review and I could ask as many questions as I liked and they even gave me advice, not legal because it was before I signed the contract, on how to approach the entire situation. I spoke with the attorney who handled my case and made sure it was alright if I directed people his way in wanting to pursue a Lemon Law case against Toyota/Scion. He said he would be happy to have a recommendation and he said even if you don’t live in Arizona to contact him and he can get you in touch with one of his friends who practice Lemon Law cases in your state. His contact information is: Ian Pryor, Esq.
